General meeting and presentations

Registration

  • Presentations on "Failures in large-bore four-stroke deisel engines" by Dr Adrian Grosvenor
    and an illustrated short presentation on
    "The most dangerous toys of 2015"

Drinks at the bar upstairs will run from 6:30 pm until 7:00 pm.

Materials engineer Dr Adrian Grosvenor  speaks on "Large 4-stroke diesel engines -  design, manufacture, applications and trouble-shooting".  Note:  this presentation is broken into two files - parts 1 and 2.

Drinks will be provided from 6:30 pm, followed by dinner with a presentation from materials engineer Adrian Grosvenor on "Failures in large-bore four stroke diesel engines".  Dr Grosvenor recently returned from Germany, where he led a team investigating failures in different types of engines, with a particular emphasis on marine engines.

We will also have a second short presentation from vehicle expert John Lambert on a very topical subject:

"Should police vehicle pursuits be allowed?"
