Given the success of our Zoom meetings during 2020 (noting our growth & involvement from non-Melbourne attendees) your FESA Committee has decided that for 2021 we will alternate monthly between dinner meetings (back at the Auburn Hotel, with the presentation available to all later via the website), and live Zoom presentation meetings.

Welcome Back to a FESA ZOOM Meeting: One dam failure and two dam catastrophes.
In this Zoom presentation Geoff Fletcher will relate the details of two very significant disasters involving dams, one in 1928 & the other in 1963, and key learnings from the enquiries thereafter. One legacy led to the creation of the RPEQ scheme!
Geoff is a chartered and registered civil/structural engineer with broad design, research and construction experience, particularly in precast concrete, temporary works and anchorage systems.
