Ian Godson:  Forensic.pptx

FESA's first 2017 presentation:  two outstanding speakers on Corrosion.

Learn about curing concrete cancers, the latest on cathodic protection, atmospheric corrosion, and more.

If you can get to Melbourne on Wednesday 5 April, you will enjoy pre-dinner drinks, an excellent dinner and talks from Ian Godson (over 25 years in the remedial and corrosion engineering fields, who has worked on many of the most technically challenging repair projects both in Australia and overseas) and Robert Francis, a corrosion and coatings specialist with over 40 years’ experience.

Ian has extensive experience in the design, specification, commissioning and monitoring of Cathodic Protection and Hybrid CP systems in a wide variety of sectors and projects, including the Sydney Opera House substructure, Swanson Dock (Melb.) and Brisbane Port wharf structures.

Dr Francis is an expert in corrosion and its mitigation, especially in the area of protective coatings for steelwork for atmospheric environments.  His experience also covers ferrous metals, technical training and quality assurance. He edited the publication “Sixty Years of Inorganic Zinc Coatings” in 1998, which was revised and expanded in 2013.  Rob was made a JPCL Top Thinker in 2012 and awarded the ACA Victor Nightingall Award in 2014.

6:30 pm drinks (provided) for a 7:00 pm dinner at the Auburn Hotel, corner Auburn Rd and Victoria St Auburn (Hawthorn) Melbourne.
